Share & host
The same agent you chat with can live on a public page, in Slack or Teams, in an email inbox, or behind an API key. People talk to it where they already work.
Public hosted page
On the task, open hosted page settings:
- Enable the hosted page.
- Pick a URL slug, for example
sales-agent. - Optional: write a welcome message visitors see first.
- Share the link:
https://tasks.phthos.ai/a/sales-agent.
Anyone with the link can chat — they do not need a Task AI login. The agent still uses the apps and skills you attached to that task.
Slack, Teams, and email
On the task, open Deploy:
- Slack — connect Slack, add the channel. People message that channel; the agent replies in the thread.
- Microsoft Teams — same idea for a Teams channel.
- Email — give the agent a receiving address (and optional allowed senders). Mail to that inbox starts a run.
Connect the Slack or Teams app first under Apps. You can pause or remove a deployment without deleting the task.
Call the agent from your app
Create a personal API key in Task AI Settings (tai_…). Start a chat turn, then poll until it finishes:
curl -sS https://tasks.phthos.ai/api/v1/tasks/TASK_ID/start_agent \
-H "Authorization: Bearer tai_…" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"message": "Hello"}'
curl -sS https://tasks.phthos.ai/api/v1/tasks/TASK_ID/agent_status/INTERACTION_ID \
-H "Authorization: Bearer tai_…"
POST again with the same interaction_id to continue the thread. To run the canvas workflow instead of chat, use POST /api/v1/tasks/TASK_ID/run_workflow — see Workflows.
